Floating raft case opened illegally in Nha Trang: There are signs of 3 violations

Authorities initially determined that the floating raft on Nha Trang Bay that was accused of "overcharging" by customers had signs of violating 3 rules, including not posting prices according to regulations.

On the afternoon of May 6, a representative of Market Management Team No. 1 (under the Market Management Department of Khanh Hoa province) said that through inspection, it was initially determined that the floating raft on Nha Trang Bay in the case of the customer complaining about "overcharging" had signs of violating 3 violations.

Specifically: Food and beverage business without a license (rafts are only licensed for aquaculture); No food hygiene and safety certificate; No price listing as prescribed.

Currently, Market Management Team No. 1 is continuing to work with the owner of the floating raft, then reporting to the Provincial Market Management Department and Nha Trang City People's Committee.

Regarding the incident, the leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee said that the City's Department of Culture, Science and Information is contacting the tourist who posted the reflection on social networks to verify more information.

Nha Trang City People's Committee has also assigned Vinh Nguyen Ward People's Committee to coordinate with Nha Trang Bay Management Board to strengthen propaganda and inspection; require floating rafts without a food service business license to stop operating; floating rafts that are allowed to operate must sign a commitment to fully comply with relevant regulations to avoid similar incidents.

As reported by SGGP Newspaper, a floating raft on Nha Trang Bay was accused by customers on Facebook of "rip-offs" when selling boxfish for 3.5 million VND/kg, causing a stir in public opinion and affecting the local tourism image.

Specifically, at around 2:00 p.m. on May 2, a canoe took two tourists to a floating raft for lunch, with the total bill for the meal for two people being nearly 2.8 million VND.

The invoice shows that the unit price of boxfish is 3.5 million VND/kg, the quantity of 0.5kg is 1.75 million VND; the unit price of squid is 950,000 VND/kg, the quantity of 0.9kg is 855,000 VND...
