(NLDO) – World gold prices fell sharply as soon as the first trading week of December opened, causing the prices of SJC gold bars and 99.99 gold rings to also fall.
Specifically, on the morning of December 2, the price of gold today on the international market dropped about 15 USD/ounce, down to 2,634 USD/ounce.
World gold prices continued to fall amid the rebound of the US dollar in the international market. Currently, the US dollar index increased slightly by 0.36% to 106.2 points.
Meanwhile, the US personal consumption expenditure (PCE) index in November still increased by 2.8% compared to the same period last year, higher than the forecast and the US Federal Reserve's (FED) target of 2%. These factors may make the FED more cautious in continuing to cut interest rates in the short term.

Commenting on the gold price trend this week, gold expert Tran Duy Phuong said that gold prices are having a short-term adjustment.
However, in the medium and long term, there are still many factors supporting the increase of precious metals, especially the interest rate reduction roadmap of the FED and central banks of countries; the conflict situation in the Middle East has not calmed down and the demand for gold of central banks of countries still maintains a strong increase...
