Lam Dong: Launching the "Zero-VND Bus" to support people in flood-affected areas

On the evening of August 7, the "Zero-VND Bus" volunteer group from Lam Dong province departed, bringing necessities to support people affected by floods in the Central and Northern provinces.

Essential goods are arranged and classified to support people in flood-affected areas.

The volunteer group is led by Ms. Do Truong Phuong Van and Mr. Phan Anh Dung, Director of Phan Anh Dung Production, Trading and Service Co., Ltd. is the Deputy Head. The volunteer group is expected to arrive in Nghe An province, then continue to move to the provinces affected by natural disasters.

The trip was attended by about 30 members, including individuals, donors and volunteer drivers. The group mobilized a large amount of necessities including: rice, fish sauce, salt, vegetables, instant noodles, cakes, milk, soap, books, shoes, school supplies, etc.

The total value of the goods is estimated at around 300 million VND, along with a cash portion of nearly 100 million VND. These gifts will be distributed directly by the delegation to people in localities severely affected by floods, especially the poor and children in disadvantaged areas.

12 vehicles of various types are in charge of transportation; including free ambulances, trucks from 2.5 to 15 tons and 16-seat passenger vans. The team of drivers will take turns on each route to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the journey.

This relief journey clearly demonstrates the sense of responsibility, solidarity and sharing of Lam Dong people towards their fellow countrymen in flood-affected areas.
