In recent days, a team of cadres, engineers and workers in the electricity industry have defied the harsh hot weather, staying at the construction site to urgently construct the column foundations to soon bring the 500kV line 3 project to the finish line on schedule.

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (worker of Kon Tum power transmission team, Power Transmission Company 2) said that the construction team at pole number 136 (in Trung Thanh commune, Nong Cong district, Thanh Hoa) has 27 people. All are officials, engineers, and workers of the electricity industry from Kon Tum and Da Nang provinces.

“Our reinforcement team has been in Thanh Hoa for nearly a month. The weather here is harsher, the sun is extremely hot, however, we are always ready to work regardless of the difficulties,” Mr. Binh shared.

Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoa said that to ensure progress, the team members had to work continuously in 3 shifts, 4 shifts. They went to the construction site early in the morning, had lunch at the construction site, then continued working until evening before returning to their accommodation.

Mr. Hoang Hai - Director of Thanh Hoa Electricity Company said that the 500kV line 3 extension project connecting Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi ( Hung Yen ) is a key, urgent project, playing a particularly important role in national energy security.

Up to now, the project is in the urgent construction phase of pulling the 500kV circuit 3 Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh - Thanh Hoa line through Thanh Hoa province.

“Thanh Hoa Electricity Company has joined the shock force with 22 officers and employees to support the construction of the 500kV circuit 3 project.

The company coordinated, supported contact, arranged accommodation, as well as construction sites and means of transportation for nearly 300 officers and employees, who are shock troops from 13 companies under the Southern Power Corporation and the Central Power Corporation, who were reinforced for this project in Thanh Hoa province," said Mr. Hai.

According to Mr. Hai, there are 142 110/medium/low voltage crossover points in the province, including 29 110kV crossover points and 113 medium and low voltage points. Up to now, the project is in the urgent construction phase and must be completed in June 2024, so Thanh Hoa Electricity still has to cut off power to some 110kV/medium voltage lines, causing temporary interruption of power supply to customers.

“During the days of extreme heat, combined with unusual weather conditions (rain, thunderstorms), Thanh Hoa Electricity will continue to make efforts to ensure power supply for economic and social development and people's daily lives in the entire province.

We also hope that customers will understand, sympathize and proactively plan for reasonable electricity usage when the power grid system may have an unforeseen incident, as well as the power outage to serve the 500kV circuit 3 project to complete on schedule according to the Prime Minister's direction", Mr. Hai hopes that the people will share.
