Set in Daechi - a neighborhood famous for being a privateeducation center in Korea, the film revolves around Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) - a lecturer who tries to guide Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon) to get him admitted to a prestigious university.

Thanks to this success, Seo Hye Jin became a famous lecturer in the industry. 10 years later, Seo Hye Jin met Lee Joon Ho again after he decided to quit his job at a large company and return to the academy as a rookie lecturer.

The reason is because he still has feelings for his first love - who is also his lecturer . Initially, Seo Hye Jin strongly opposed this, but Lee Joon Ho still tried to approach her. Thanks to the daring student, the life of a lecturer who "doesn't know what failure is" will have many unexpected changes.

Along with confirming that the film will be released on May 11, the producer also revealed the first image of the two main characters - Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho, as they stand together under an umbrella in a small alley in Daechi district (Hagwon, Korea).

According to the production team: “Like the rain that gradually wets the ground, the main couple’s romantic story promises to touch the hearts of viewers, mixed with feelings of excitement. We hope you will look forward to the interesting combination created by Jung Ryeo Won, Wi Ha Joon and director Ahn Pan Seok.”

According to the media, initially, “Resident Playbook” starring Go Yoon Jung was announced as a follow-up project to “Queen of Tears” starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.

However, concerns arose after a wave of resident doctors in Korea resigned, causing a significant shortage of staff at major hospitals, so the producer had to reconsider the release date.

As a result, “Midnight Romance in Hagwon” was pushed to air earlier. Although it was expected because it was a project directed by a famous director of romantic films, Wi Ha Joon was not a very famous actor in this genre.

Meanwhile, Jung Ryeo Won became famous when she participated in "My Name is Kim Sam Soon", and then in the films "King of TV", "Princess Ja Myung", "The Doctors"... However, in recent years, her works have not made a splash.
