On November 6, a representative of Da Phuc ward, Duong Kinh district ( Hai Phong city) said that through initial verification by the authorities, the identity of the victim who died in a pineapple sack, discovered by people on the afternoon of June 10 in a residential area in Quang Luan village, Da Phuc ward, was Ms. N. (born in 1994), originally from Bac Son, Kien An district, Hai Phong city.

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of June 10, residents of Da Phuc ward saw a sack of pineapples left in front of their house but thought it was a sack of trash so no one paid attention.
In the afternoon of the same day, a person was startled to discover something unusual in the pineapple sack, so he shouted and reported it to the authorities.
At the scene, the victim’s body was placed in two pineapple sacks. One sack covered the victim from head to torso; the other covered the victim from legs to back; the two ends of the sacks were tied together with string. There were many blood stains around the pineapple sack containing the body.
Local people were shocked by the incident.
Immediately after receiving the report from the people, Duong Kinh District Police, Da Phuc Ward Police coordinated with professional units of Hai Phong City Police to conduct a crime scene investigation, autopsy, investigation, and clarification of the case.
Authorities initially identified the woman who died in the pineapple sack as Ms. N. It is known that the victim was married in Dong Phuong commune, Kien Thuy district (in the same city of Hai Phong) and had 2 children. About a year ago, Ms. N. and her husband divorced.
Currently, Hai Phong City Police are urgently investigating and clarifying the cause of Ms. N.'s death.
