Identify the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations

Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province.

At the working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, stated that with the theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress determined to enhance the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; innovate the content and methods of operation; promote democracy and the strength of great national unity; contribute to building Bac Ninh province into a centrally-run city before 2030.

Regarding the personnel structure, the number of members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term I, 2025-2030, is expected to be 120 people, including representatives of member organizations; Chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards; individuals who are experts in a number of fields and typical individuals in organizations, classes, ethnic groups, religions, artists, scientists , businessmen, enterprises; overseas Vietnamese; full-time officials of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province.

Of which, the combined structure includes female delegates accounting for 23.5%; non-Party members accounting for 5.9%; ethnic minorities accounting for 7.6%; and religious representatives accounting for 5.04%.

The Congress is expected to take place at the end of October 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien praised the proactive spirit of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province in implementing tasks related to the Congress; at the same time, he emphasized that the Congress must truly be a broad political activity, a congress of the great national unity bloc, mobilizing and encouraging people of all walks of life, strongly arousing patriotism and the aspiration to contribute to building and developing the country in the new era.

Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that the Political Report submitted to the Congress should closely follow the content of the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations for the 2025-2030 term, thereby proposing directions, goals and solutions suitable to the actual situation in the locality. Especially solutions associated with the new organizational model when socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State after merging and arranging according to the 2-level local government model.

Regarding breakthrough tasks during the term, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien suggested focusing on innovating leadership methods according to new models; new thinking, new ways of doing things, new results; at the same time strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, residential areas, close to the people, proactively serving the people; focusing on training, fostering, evaluating, arranging, and effectively using the staff.

"It is necessary to clearly study General Secretary To Lam's suggestions on the three guiding viewpoints and six key tasks in his speech at the First Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term, especially the specific tasks related to socio-political organizations that the General Secretary mentioned," Mr. Do Van Chien suggested.

Emphasizing that the content of the 6 action programs must create a strong spread among the people, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien suggested that the Provincial Front needs to deploy a "Digital Front Portal" to receive people's petitions 24/7; organize a "Month of listening to people's voices" to listen to people's thoughts and aspirations, thereby reflecting to the Party Committee, the government, the Party and the State to promptly resolve problems arising in the area and better care for the social security of the people in the province.

Regarding the personnel plan submitted to the Congress, Mr. Do Van Chien suggested that it is necessary to closely follow the content of Regulation No. 301-QD/TW dated June 9, 2025 of the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial and communal levels and the content of Decision No. 304-QD/TW dated June 10, 2025 of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to serve as a basis for building a structure that is suitable to the actual situation in the locality.
