Building Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital to international standards

Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital receives and treats complicated cases transferred from lower levels and is an important center for emergency care, diagnosis, training, direction and scientific research in Hai Phong and the region.

On the morning of October 17, at the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Cultural Palace, the Vietnam - Czech Friendship Hospital solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 120th anniversary (1905 - 2025) and receive the First Class Labor Medal.

Representatives of the State Records and Archives Department (Ministry of Home Affairs) presented the document certifying the hospital's establishment in 1905 to Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital.

Praising and congratulating the achievements of the staff, doctors and employees of Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital over the years, comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, emphasized that these achievements are the crystallization of many generations of doctors who have devoted themselves to serving the people's health.

On this occasion, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President and a banner from the City People's Committee with the content "120 years of journey for people's health". 26 groups and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee; 10 groups and individuals received certificates of merit from the Director of the Department of Health.

Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital is one of the leading medical facilities in the Port City, currently with 1,800 beds, 69 departments, rooms, centers and more than 2,600 officers, civil servants and employees.

The hospital not only receives and treats complicated cases transferred from lower levels but is also an important center for emergency care, diagnosis, training, direction and scientific research of the city and region.

With a core role in community health care, the hospital regularly deploys mobile medical examination and treatment programs, health consultation, screening and community health promotion to suburban areas, remote areas, contributing to improving people's awareness and quality of life.
