Opening and awarding ceremony of Hai Phong Fine Arts Exhibition 2025

This year's exhibition not only brings together many artists from Hai Phong but also attracts artists from Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hue, Gia Lai... contributing to enriching the country's fine arts life.

Meritorious Artist Le Hai, Chairman of the Hai Phong Union of Literature and Arts, delivered the opening speech for the exhibition.

On the morning of October 18th, at the City Exhibition House (No. 1 Nguyen Duc Canh Street, Le Chan Ward), the Hai Phong Fine Arts Association, in coordination with the City's Culture, Cinema and Exhibition Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism), organized the opening ceremony and awards presentation for the Hai Phong Fine Arts Exhibition 2025.

The event was attended by leaders of the Hai Phong Union of Literature and Arts, numerous artists and writers, and art lovers from the port city.

The delegates cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition.

This is the first official art exhibition after the merger of the two localities into the new city of Hai Phong, marking a new stage of development for the city's art scene with a larger creative force and improved scale and artistic quality. Not only does it bring together a large number of Hai Phong artists, but the exhibition also attracts participation from artists from many provinces and cities across the country, from the North, Central Highlands, South Central, to the South. This widespread influence further affirms the prestige and appeal of Hai Phong art in the contemporary Vietnamese art scene.

The organizing committee awarded three second prizes to the authors.

This year, the organizers exhibited 93 works by 80 artists, presented in various materials such as oil paint, acrylic, lacquer, silk, mixed media, ceramics, wood carving, sculpture, etc. The organizers also awarded 12 prizes to outstanding works, including 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 6 consolation prizes. The 3 second prizes went to the works "Lao Wind" (Dinh Minh Thien), "Primitive Shoot" (Phung Van Tue), and "Wreaths of Time" (Nguyen Phuong Bac).

This year's exhibition is an opportunity for art lovers to admire new creations reflecting the spirit of the times, while also creating opportunities for exchange, interaction, and connection between the art community of Hai Phong and other provinces and cities nationwide, contributing to spreading the love of art and affirming the position of Hai Phong - a city of creativity and art.

The exhibition is open until October 24, 2025.
