Not stopping at slogans or short-term emulation movements, in many businesses, the spirit of "good workers, creative workers" becomes corporate culture, a factor that connects workers with businesses, between rights and responsibilities, between creativity and development.
Chairman of the Trade Union of LS VINA Electric Cable and System Joint Stock Company Do Ngoc Thap informed that over the past 20 years, creative labor emulation has become a way of thinking and a habit of every worker. Each individual is aware of finding solutions to do their job better. Thanks to promoting initiatives and technical improvements, the company not only increases productivity and saves costs, but also significantly improves workers' income. On average, each year, the company increases salaries by 8-10%, raises meal allowances, improves the working environment and applies a policy of rewarding initiatives from 3-5 million VND with ideas that bring high benefits. From 2022 to now, more than 1,000 initiatives have been applied in practice, of which, each year, 4 topics are awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor .
At Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hai Phong - Japanese Industrial Park), innovation competition is considered the "key to survival". Chairman of the company's Trade Union Nguyen Quoc Viet said that the trade union regularly organizes innovation competitions between departments and divisions to increase competitiveness. The management board and the trade union always create favorable conditions in terms of time, equipment, and finance for workers to test their ideas. Each group of authors is awarded an additional 400,000 VND to 3.5 million VND depending on the level of reward. Thanks to the incentive mechanism, in 2024, the company will have 13 Creative Labor certificates; in 2023, it will be 11 certificates. On average, each year, the company records more than 70 innovations, bringing in billions of VND in economic efficiency, contributing to improving productivity, reducing production costs, and improving workers' lives.
At LG Display Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd., the innovation movement has made a remarkable mark with more than 1,000 initiatives each year, helping to save hundreds of billions of VND. According to the Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, Le Xuan Sang, every year, through many dialogue channels, the union listens to the opinions and contributions of employees and advises the company's leaders to promulgate and improve transparent reward regulations, promptly recognize and encourage individuals and groups with outstanding achievements, actively contributing many effective improvement ideas. The company spends 15 billion VND/year to reward initiatives. In addition, the union participates in supporting the company to launch the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" such as sharing monthly improvement projects; quarterly "Innovation" seminars and workshops and annual "TDR Innovation" festivals; at the same time, spreading the Speak-up culture to encourage employees to boldly propose innovative ideas and initiatives.

From the emulation movement, each year the city has more than 10,000 topics and initiatives, bringing in nearly 10,000 billion VND in profit and many great social benefits. Trade unions at all levels flexibly apply emulation movements to suit the characteristics of each industry, each unit, and each production field. The initiatives focus on solving production bottlenecks, applying scientific and technological advances, increasing the localization rate, reducing raw material costs, improving productivity and protecting the environment.
Over the past 5 years, the whole city has had 868 outstanding workers awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee and the City Labor Federation; 442 topics, solutions, and initiatives were awarded Creative Labor certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, with a total value of more than 320 billion VND.
Typical examples include union member Trinh Dinh Vung, Deputy Head of Production Department of Factory 2, Nissei Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. with 20 initiatives in 5 years, total value of more than 10 billion VND in profit, winning 4 consolation prizes at the Technical Innovation Contest of Hai Duong province (old). Mr. Nguyen Thai Hai, Sumida Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. with the initiative "Automation of production line of CDH74 and CDRH74 products" helps increase productivity by 19%, reduce 6 workers to help profit 1.6 billion VND, won first prize at the 2nd Technical Innovation Contest for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of Hai Phong city, 2023 - 2024...
Chairman of the City Labor Federation Nguyen Anh Tuan said that in the coming time, the City Labor Federation will focus on innovating propaganda methods, applying digital media, organizing innovation festivals, and online forums on innovation. At the same time, grassroots unions will play a good role in discovering and supporting creative ideas; recommending business owners to increase bonuses, support the implementation of initiatives into practice, and have clear and transparent incentive mechanisms. The goal of the city labor union is to turn the emulation movement into an endogenous driving force, so that each worker can clearly see the value of their contribution, and each business considers innovation as a key factor in sustainable development.
