Building Da Nang into a destination for science, technology and innovation

At the discussion sessions of the conference “Application of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in enterprises” within the framework of Vietnam Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence Week - Super Vietnam 2025 taking place on June 4, management agencies, enterprises, domestic and foreign investors proposed ideas and solutions to build Da Nang into a potential destination for science, technology, and innovation.

Da Nang has great potential to become an AI and blockchain hub

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Chairman of CMC Group, assessed that with special conditions, Da Nang is converging many factors to build an international financial center based on artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technology platforms.

The city is strategically located, has a conveniently connected international seaport and airport, and invested technology infrastructure with 6.17 hectares dedicated to the financial center. In addition, Da Nang has high-quality human resources with universities training in AI and Blockchain, is the leading locality for many consecutive years in the Digital Transformation Index (DTI) and has a strong digital government system.

Mr. Chinh said that to build a digital international financial center, it is necessary to have a synchronous infrastructure ecosystem including separate development space, stable energy, high-speed telecommunications network, data center, and high-performance computers serving AI.

He proposed a three-phase roadmap to deploy an international financial center in Da Nang: the first phase is to build digital infrastructure and a legal testing framework; the second phase is to pilot the application of AI and Blockchain in the fields of credit, insurance and smart contracts; the third phase is to expand the ecosystem with the participation of banks, investors and international experts.

Sharing from the perspective of a large technology enterprise, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh, General Director of FPT IS Company Limited, said that FPT plans to train 50,000 high-quality AI human resources and deploy 500,000 courses for high school students nationwide. Da Nang is the first locality selected for the pilot implementation. FPT hopes to work with the Government to develop large-scale technology solutions; at the same time, turn Da Nang into a center for talent development and innovation in the field of AI.

At the same time, FPT's high-tech and semiconductor R&D Center at Da Nang Software Park No. 2 will become a technology "incubator" where Vietnamese and international experts will join hands to develop products bearing the Make in Vietnam - Make in Da Nang mark.

Strong orientation for digital finance development

Mr. Le Hoang Phuc, Director of the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence (DSAC, Management Board of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Zones), said that the cooperation between the state - enterprises - schools will bring Vietnam in general, and Da Nang in particular, further on the global technology map. Enterprises have technology and capital, universities have human resources.

On the part of management agencies such as DSAC Center and the city, they will create the best conditions and implement favorable policies to promote foundational technologies such as AI and blockchain. Da Nang's high-quality and dynamic human resources are completely capable of catching up and leading these technologies.

According to Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, Da Nang has been gradually and strongly implementing strategies for developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The Resolution clearly affirms that science, technology and innovation are key driving forces for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. This is the guiding principle for Da Nang to rise strongly and become the leading center of digital technology and smart finance in the region.

Da Nang is aiming to strongly develop digital financial services, fintech and blockchain technology, key areas to promote digital transformation and the city's digital economy. The application of digital solutions in financial management, supply chains and electronic transactions opens up opportunities to optimize costs, make transactions transparent and improve management efficiency.

At the same time, modern fintech models such as e-payment, e-wallet and blockchain-based lending technology are helping Da Nang become an attractive destination for financial technology businesses.

Not only stopping at technological innovation, Da Nang also focuses on building digital infrastructure through digital financial sandbox models and free trade zones, creating an open testing environment, promoting creativity and innovation. This is a strategic step to turn Da Nang into a leading digital financial center in the region, strongly connected to the global financial network.

Da Nang is also preparing the necessary steps to develop an international financial center, creating a platform for cross-border transactions and connecting with the global financial market, in line with the orientation of digital economic development and international integration.

Connecting the global community in the Polkadot ecosystem

On June 4, the OpenGuild Web3 Open Source Community in collaboration with DSAC Center, Web3 Builders Community in Vietnam and Southeast Asia sqrDAO, Danang Startup Investment and Support Company DNES organized the event "Polkadot Danang Hackcamp" at Danang Software Park No. 2. The event had the participation of nearly 100 programmers, blockchain experts and domestic and international technology startups, aiming to improve the practical capacity of young Vietnamese programmers in the blockchain field, while connecting with the global development community in the Polkadot ecosystem, one of the world's leading open and multi-chain blockchain platforms.

Nearly 3,000 people attend Super Vietnam Week 2025

Super Vietnam Week 2025 is organized by DSAC Center in collaboration with Orochi Network Company Limited and FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company on June 4 and 5. The event includes activities: plenary conference on connecting and developing AI and blockchain 2025; specialized conferences: technology trends and future investment vision and application of blockchain and AI in enterprises; Super Vietnam PitchFest competition; blockchain forum, AI forum... and other sideline activities. The event series has the participation of 120 typical speakers and nearly 3,000 domestic and foreign guests.

At the conference “Application of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence in enterprises”, Orochi Network Company Limited signed 4 memorandums of cooperation on promoting the development of AI and blockchain technology with Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU, Danang University), University of Economics (Danang University), Startup Training Center of Phenikaa University, Ledger Company (France).
