Building an ecosystem for social impact businesses in Vietnam

The Kick-off event for programs to support businesses creating social impact in 2025, KICK-OFF 2025: Drive Innovation for Impact 2025 organized by the Institute for Innovation and Development (IID) opens up opportunities for individuals and businesses interested in impact-creating businesses to receive incubation support, market connection, investment connection, network connection and participate in awards at the global level.

In recent years, the social impact business ecosystem in Vietnam has witnessed strong growth, with a series of innovative initiatives from pioneering individuals and organizations. The Institute for Innovation and Development (IID), as a leading unit, has continuously built and developed a network of businesses, non-profit organizations, investors and management agencies to support activities that bring sustainable social and environmental values.

The KICK-OFF 2025 event is not only an important milestone for IID but also an opportunity for the social impact ecosystem to look to the future, affirming its important role in solving current social challenges.

The event marks the beginning of the key activities in 2025 of the Institute for Innovation and Development Studies as an organization building an ecosystem for impact business, social impact enterprises (SIBs) in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of January 7, the Institute for Innovation and Development (IID) successfully organized the Kick-off Event for programs to support businesses creating social impact in 2025, KICK-OFF 2025: Drive Innovation for Impact 2025.

Opportunities for female entrepreneurs to participate in a comprehensive ecosystem

The event provided the ecosystem with the most updated information on programs to support businesses creating social impact in 2025, the opportunity to be prioritized for support in participating in programs and projects that match development needs, and an opportunity to connect with networks and partners domestically, internationally, and globally, along with the opportunity to access support capital of up to 50,000 USD.

The event took place with the main contents: Summary of the SIB Business Support Journey 2024, Launch of the 2024 Startup University Assessment Research Report, Overview of IID's Impact Business Sector Support Programs 2025 and IID's Research and Consulting Services. The report on innovation and entrepreneurship at universities and colleges nationwide (Vietnam U.innovate 2024) is connected to the largest social impact digital ecosystem in Vietnam, including online platforms such as Vinnovate.vn (platform for evaluating startup and impact conferences), iMapVietnam.org (digital map of Vietnam's impact business ecosystem), and ImpactUP.site (platform for learning and incubating social startups).

Notably, at the event, the Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award 2025 for pioneering female entrepreneurs was officially launched.

In addition, many other attractive activities in 2025 such as the VSIS Social Impact Startup Acceleration Program, the Forest Ecopreneur 2025 Growth Program, the SEIP Program, the SHE Techfest Program... have also been introduced.
