Building a gong culture model for the Bana people in Vinh Kim commune
(BD) - On the morning of December 29, the Department of Culture and Sports coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Son commune (Vinh Thanh district) to summarize and accept the construction of a gong culture model for the Bana people in Vinh Kim commune.
At the acceptance ceremony, the Bana people of Vinh Kim commune performed an art program, with performances of gongs, musical instruments such as the Po Long Khong and To Rung, and Xoang dances and Bana folk songs expressing the traditional cultural identity of their people.

The acceptance session aims to review the results of the training course on methods and skills to build a gong culture model for the Bana people of Vinh Kim commune organized by the Department of Culture and Sports from December 22 to 25, according to the implementation plan of Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas of Binh Dinh Province, period 2021 - 2030 (phase 1: From 2021 - 2025).
Through the training course, Vinh Kim Commune People's Committee selected 35 Bana artisans to build and maintain a gong cultural model, in order to preserve and spread the traditional cultural values of the local Bana people, aiming to serve tourism.
Previously, the Department of Culture and Sports also organized a training course on preserving and promoting folk songs, folk dances, folk music and accepted the construction of a model to preserve intangible cultural heritage of the H're people in An Trung commune, An Lao district.
