During the years of the resistance war against the US to save the country, our Party always paid attention to developing education and fostering knowledge for the revolutionary forces. Therefore, while focusing on supporting the South and joining the army and people in the North to fight against the destruction of US aircraft, the education sector still did a good job of nurturing people's knowledge, reviving national spirit, participating in the emulation movement "Resistance and National Construction", repelling "ignorance", and developing a contingent of intellectuals for the cause of national construction and innovation.

Despite difficult conditions, classes are still held everywhere such as communal house yards, warehouse yards, cooperatives, private homes, etc. The spirit of learning spreads among people of all ages, from the elderly to teenagers and children.

Also during the years of resistance, listening to the sacred call of the Fatherland, many teachers of Vinh Phuc put down their pens, left their schools and lecture platforms, enthusiastically went to the front lines to support the South, contributing blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Many teachers died on the fierce battlefield; many were lucky enough to return after the resistance war to continue to devote their hearts to the cause of education.

After the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975, peace was restored, the country was unified, and the country entered the process of innovation and national construction. The education and training sector has gradually made strong changes, promoting the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties in poor and backward material conditions, making efforts to build and re-plan the education network of the whole province, improving the quality of teachers and education managers at all levels, implementing key groups of solutions to innovate thinking in teaching and learning activities, promoting the spirit of studiousness among the entire population.

In particular, immediately after Vinh Phuc province was re-established, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee issued many mechanisms and policies to facilitate the development of the "human cultivation" career, promoting the role and position and affirming that education and training is the top national policy, a breakthrough, and a decisive factor for development.

50 years of development with the country, the provincial education and training sector has achieved many achievements, affirming its leading position nationwide. The network and scale of schools have developed widely and are increasingly invested in building spacious and modern facilities.

To date, the province has 540 schools and educational facilities with more than 10,700 classes and more than 387,500 students; 30 continuing and vocational education facilities and 121 community learning centers along with a system of foreign language, information technology, life skills centers... that have been licensed to operate.

80.5% of schools meet national standards, of which 175 schools meet national standards level 1 and 217 schools meet national standards level 2, exceeding the target assigned in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. The quantity and quality of the staff are constantly improving; the rate of managers and teachers with qualifications meeting or higher is 97.9%; above standard is 35.9%.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the provincial Department of Education and Training has effectively carried out three breakthrough tasks: discovering, attracting and promoting talents in educational institutions. The Department has recruited 13 teachers according to the talent attraction policy in Decree No. 140 of the Government; advised the province to issue policies to create breakthroughs in training, prioritize recruitment; build a system of high-quality schools, develop Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted in an advanced manner according to the trend of regional and international integration.

The whole industry actively promotes digital transformation in administration, management, building electronic lectures, applying information technology in teaching, implementing cashless tuition collection, online enrollment at the beginning of the level, etc.

At the same time, effectively implement the foreign language teaching project for the period 2021 - 2025; strengthen international cooperation in the field of education. 100% of preschools perform well in child care and education.

Regarding general education, for the fourth consecutive year Vinh Phuc has been in the top 5 nationwide in terms of high school graduation exam results; in particular, in the last two years, the province's students have led the country in average exam scores.

The quality of key education has been consolidated. From 2021 to 2024, Vinh Phuc students won 398 prizes in the national excellent student selection exam in cultural subjects; 6 international and regional prizes.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Vinh Phuc has 87 students winning prizes in the national excellent student selection exam, ranking second in the country in terms of winning rate, and 13 students were selected for round 2 to participate in the selection exam for national teams to compete in regional competitions and the 2025 International Olympics. Cultural and sports activities, intellectual playgrounds, continuing education activities, and vocational education achieved outstanding results.

Entering the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration, with the responsibility of "Improving people's knowledge - reviving people's spirit - nurturing talents" assigned by the Party and the State, the education and training sector continues to implement the goal of developing comprehensive and modern education, building a safe, civilized, friendly and advanced educational environment in line with the trend of international integration; striving to maintain the quality of education in the top of the country.

Promote scientific research cooperation with countries with quality education in the world. Promote digital transformation, develop science and technology in teaching and educational management.

Focus on advising on policies to support training of high-quality human resources in the period of industrialization - modernization and international integration, especially strengthening human resource training for the semiconductor industry, high technology and some other industries, meeting the needs of the labor market and social trends in the new period.
