Building Ninh Phuoc into a model new rural commune

Ninh Phuoc commune has a population of more than 70,000 people, of which more than 21,000 are ethnic minorities, mainly Cham people (with more than 20,000 people, accounting for 29.3% of the total population of the commune). With high political determination and innovative thinking, in recent times, the Party Committee of the commune has effectively led the implementation of programs and policies for socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, associated with new rural construction.

Positive results

Under the leadership of the Commune Party Committee, the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025" was vigorously implemented and completed on schedule, helping many households with housing difficulties in the area stabilize their lives and feel secure in developing their family economy . By May 31, 2025, Ninh Phuoc had handed over 39 houses (built 23 new houses, repaired 16 houses) to poor and near-poor households and meritorious people, reaching 100% of the plan. It is worth noting that, in addition to mobilizing and supporting funding, the commune also mobilized forces to support working days and support construction materials to help beneficiaries significantly reduce the cost of building and repairing houses. For example, Ms. Truong Thi Hoai's family (village 12) received 90 working days and some materials from organizations and relatives to help her family build a new, spacious house, thereby gradually stabilizing their lives.

Ninh Phuoc commune has also effectively implemented the Project on restructuring the agricultural sector associated with promoting agricultural production towards applying high technology; building a model of "Community tourism based on heritage in Bau Truc pottery village"; effectively implementing the community tourism model in My Nghiep village. In particular, thanks to the efforts of all levels, sectors and the community, at the end of 2022, "Cham pottery art" was listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection, contributing to increasing the attractiveness of the local traditional culture on the domestic and foreign tourism map. Currently, Bau Truc pottery village has established a Heritage-based Community Tourism Board, operating at Bau Truc Cham Community House with 40 members to promote and introduce to domestic and foreign tourists the traditional art of pottery; At the same time, we constantly create new, unique products with diverse designs and beautiful patterns, especially ancient patterns, to meet customer needs.

Local Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and organizations promote the role of religious organizations and prestigious people among the Cham people to propagate, grasp the situation, orient public opinion, participate in timely and effective resolution of conflicts at the grassroots level; propagate and mobilize people to unite, carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns well, contributing to maintaining political security, order and social safety, creating a favorable environment to promote socio-economic development.
