Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, former Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee chaired the workshop.

According to Deputy Director of the Hanoi Institute for Socio -Economic Development Research Ta Minh Thuan, in the context of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution taking place extensively, cultural industry is becoming a new pillar of economic growth, contributing to affirming the national position.
In Vietnam, promoting the cultural industry is not only a strategy for developing the cultural sector, but also a national orientation, aiming to exploit cultural resources as a new resource for sustainable development, helping to preserve and promote national cultural identity, building national pride and confidence in international integration.
With the conditions, superior potential and available culture of a thousand-year-old civilized city, as well as of the Red River Delta, Hanoi has always proactively implemented activities to develop the cultural industry associated with many solutions, including promoting regional linkages to create unique, highly competitive cultural industry products, bringing added value to entities in many aspects.
One of the important tasks to contribute to realizing the goals of cultural industry development is to carry out the task of "Regional linkage solutions in developing some cultural industrial products of the Capital with some provinces in the Red River Delta by 2030."

At the workshop, delegates analyzed the potential and positioned the capital's cultural and tourism industries, including 13 fields: Cultural tourism; Performing arts; Handicrafts; Design; Advertising; Fine arts, photography and exhibitions; Cinema; Fashion; Cuisine; Software and entertainment games; Television and radio; Publishing; Architecture.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Chi My, former Head of the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee, former Director of the Hanoi Institute for Socio-Economic Development, the Red River Delta is a typical cradle of the long-standing Vietnamese culture. The development of the region needs to maximize the unique cultural and historical values of the nation today in the region. When choosing a number of cultural and industrial service products of the Capital to link with provinces in the region, it is necessary to ensure that the products are impressive, popular, have the ability to expand in scale, improve competitiveness, and at the same time contribute to preserving national cultural values.
Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of the Institute for Creative Research, Hanoi Foreign Trade University, proposed 5 typical regional linkage models such as: Hanoi - Nam Dinh linkage with ritual products; Hanoi - Hai Duong linkage with ceramic village products; Hanoi - Ninh Binh linkage with heritage experience journey combined with education...
At the workshop, delegates, experts in the cultural sector and management agencies identified opportunities, advantages, challenges and proposed practical solutions to increase the effectiveness of the linkage in developing cultural industries between Hanoi and the provinces in the Red River Delta. In particular, many opinions emphasized the management role of localities in creating public-private partnership policy mechanisms; at the same time, connecting businesses to build a chain of linked products that are highly effective and sustainable.
