Over the past 60 years, generations of officers and soldiers of Division 363 have always maintained and promoted the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, "Excellent air defense and air force soldiers"; brave, intelligent, creative, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, ready to sacrifice to protect the Fatherland's sky. With its outstanding achievements, the Division has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State: First-class Independence Medal, 11 Military Exploit Medals, 1,014 Exploit Medals of various types. The Division, 16 collectives and 12 individuals were awarded and posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces (of which, Regiment 213 and Regiment 238 were awarded twice). On March 4, 2025, the Division was honored to receive the First-class Fatherland Protection Medalfrom the President .

During 60 years of building, fighting and growing, generations of leaders, commanders, officers and soldiers of Division 363 have built the tradition of "Bravely fighting, steadfastly sticking to the post, gloriously winning, overcoming difficulties, completing tasks, uniting and coordinating, making collective achievements, building strong, and growing rapidly".

Today, facing the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland and building a strong, compact, modern and elite army, the Party Committee and the Division's commanders focus on leading and directing agencies and units to synchronously and comprehensively implement policies and measures to build revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern units to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.

First of all, the Party Committee and the Division Command focus on leading and directing the implementation of political and ideological education, building cadres and soldiers with a strong political stance, absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the people, upholding the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, being active, proactive and creative in performing tasks. On the basis of thoroughly grasping the resolutions, directives, regulations and instructions from above, closely following the tasks, building confidence in the troops in the weapons, technical equipment and existing military equipment; grasping the experience and fighting methods of the Air Defense Force as well as new air combat methods; having high will and determination in performing tasks. Promoting the Emulation Movement to Win associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh and implementing the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period; Focus on discovering, nurturing, and replicating advanced models and examples, creating motivation for officers and soldiers to strive to overcome difficulties and complete all tasks well.

To improve the overall quality, firmly protect the airspace and assigned targets, the Division focuses on making breakthroughs in improving the quality of combat training, effectively implementing Resolution No. 1659-NQ/QUTW dated December 20, 2022 of the Central Military Commission, Resolution No. 877-NQ/DU dated March 9, 2023 of the Party Committee of the Service on "Improving the quality of training for the period 2023-2030 and the following years". Thoroughly implementing the motto "basic, practical, solid, safe, economical", the Division attaches importance to synchronous and in-depth training, close to mission requirements, combat reality, combat objects and existing weapons and equipment. Training combat crews to master new and improved weapons and technical equipment; Improve individual skills, small squads, tactical teams of 1 vehicle, 1 machine... The Division strengthens training and education of cadres, focuses on competitions, sports, practice, and live-fire drills; strictly maintains discipline and combat readiness at all levels; effectively implements the "4 know" in airspace management and situations in accordance with the Command of the Chief of the General Staff on handling air defense combat situations.

Agencies and units regularly do a good job of managing and protecting airspace, focusing on strictly managing flight activities, not allowing mistakes, omissions, delays, or false reporting of targets. Perfect and strictly maintain the operational order of the enemy situation research teams and committees from the Division to the squad; organize close coordination with the air defense forces of the units in the area, promptly notify, warn, and handle situations in the air well, not being passive or surprised.

The Division thoroughly grasps the requirements and tasks of building discipline and training discipline in the new situation. In the conditions of dispersed stationing, units closely combine education with strengthening inspection of compliance with discipline and training discipline, focusing on air defense stations, observation posts, and individual units stationed in remote areas and islands. Strengthen education for officers and soldiers to raise awareness, sense of organization and discipline for voluntary compliance. Promote the vanguard and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially cadres in charge at all levels; attach responsibility to the head with the quality of work on building discipline and training discipline in agencies and units.

Regularly and effectively deploy logistics-technical work, focusing on implementing well the Campaign "Management, exploitation of weapons, technical equipment well, durable, safe, economical and traffic safety" and the Emulation Movement "Army logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings", promoting production increase, contributing to improving the lives of soldiers. Along with that, the Division focuses on investing in building and consolidating barracks, creating a landscape, a green, clean, beautiful, friendly environment, making soldiers increasingly love, attach, and enthusiastically strive to contribute to building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Division, successfully completing all tasks.
