After two cars collided on Ho Chi Minh Road (bordering Thanh Hoa and Ninh Binh), the truck crashed through the bridge guardrail and fell into a dry stream. As a result, one person died and two were injured.
Traffic accident scene left one person dead and two injured.
According to Road Management Office I.4 (Vietnam Road Administration), at 10:15 a.m. on June 9, at Km 506+080 (right route), Cuc Phuong IV-V bridge section on Ho Chi Minh road, a serious traffic accident occurred between two cars.
Specifically, a car with license plate 18A-235.xx (driver's identity unknown) was traveling in the North-South direction and collided with a truck with license plate 29H-515xx traveling in the opposite direction.
The collision caused severe damage to the car, with the front and left side of the car deformed. The truck crashed into the reinforced concrete bridge railing and fell into a dry stream.
As a result, the accident left one person dead on the spot and two others injured. Both vehicles were severely damaged. At the scene, about 10m of steel guardrail was damaged, along with a 1m long section of concrete guardrail that was shattered.
Immediately after the accident, the I.4 Road Management Office quickly coordinated with the 470 Road Management and Construction Joint Stock Company, the provincial traffic police force and local authorities to organize traffic flow, fix the scene, and ensure smooth traffic on Ho Chi Minh Highway.
According to the leader of the Road Management Office I.4 (Vietnam Road Administration), the road section where the accident occurred is an overpass, the road surface is smooth, and the traffic safety signal system in the area is fully equipped.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by authorities.
