Handling 14 cases of forestry law violations in the first 4 months of the year

The fight against forest encroachment has been carried out by the Forest Protection Department and all levels and sectors with many drastic solutions. Units under the Forest Protection Department have arranged forces to ensure the number of troops, coordinated well with forest owners and local authorities to arrange teams and checkpoints in the forest and at forest gates to increase patrols and control forest products; and synchronously deployed measures to fight against forest encroachment in the area.

Some cases have been detected and reported promptly such as: the encroachment on forestry planning land and natural forest trees in Sub-area 749, Ta Rut commune, Dakrong district; the destruction of protective forests in Sub-area 598T, Linh Truong commune, Gio Linh district; handling information about Tan Hop wind power plant construction outside the boundary...

In the coming time, the forest rangers and local authorities will strengthen propaganda and mobilize local people, especially those living near forests, to comply with legal regulations on forest management, protection and development, encourage all organizations and individuals to raise awareness of forest protection, promptly detect and denounce violations of forestry laws for timely prevention and handling.

At the same time, continue to effectively implement the coordination regulations signed between the forest rangers, police, army, border guards, forest rangers of neighboring provinces and relevant authorities to organize patrols, protect forests, inspect and hunt down organizations and individuals who encroach on forests; strictly handle subjects who violate the Forestry Law.
