On May 22, the Economic Police Team, Vinh Yen City Police suddenly inspected the dried onion production facility of Nguyen Ngoc Tung's business household, house number 84, Truong Dinh Street, Hoi Hop Ward, Vinh Yen City.
The dried onion production facility that did not ensure food hygiene and safety was strictly handled by Vinh Yen City Police according to regulations.
At the time of inspection, the City Police discovered that the facility was producing and processing dried onions. However, in addition to producing finished products of dried onions of unknown origin, the facility also had a number of shortcomings and violations such as the Certificate of eligibility for food safety and hygiene had expired; the business area did not ensure hygiene; the warehouse did not have shelves, nameplates, regulations, and hygiene procedures; and the business of goods of unknown origin.
Vinh Yen City Police have drawn up a record to temporarily detain all raw materials used to produce dried onions for handling according to the provisions of law.
In the coming time, the unit will continue to strengthen inspections of other business establishments in ensuring food hygiene and safety in order to promptly detect and strictly handle acts of production, trading and consumption of goods that do not ensure food safety and of unknown origin.
At the same time, actively propagate and remind businesses to raise awareness and comply with legal regulations on food hygiene and safety, origin and quality of goods.
