Administrative sanctions for posting false information

On June 5, the Internal Political Security Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that it had issued a decision to administratively sanction Mr. Tang Ha Nam Anh (born in 1974, residing in Phu Nhuan District) for providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting information, causing public confusion.

Accordingly, the Internal Political Security Department has issued a Decision to administratively sanction Tang Ha Nam Anh, currently working at the XKV Clinic (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) with a fine of 7.5 million VND.

This person committed the act of "Providing, sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals" as prescribed in Point a, Clause 1, Article 101 of Decree No. 15 dated February 3, 2020 of the Government on administrative sanctions in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, information technology and electronic transactions.

Internal Political Security Department delivers the Decision to punish Tang Ha Nam Anh

Previously, according to the people's feedback and the report of Tam Anh General Hospital; The Internal Political Security Department recorded that on May 28, 2025, Tang Ha Nam Anh used his personal Facebook account "Tang Ha Nam Anh" to post an article with unverified, untrue content about TA General Hospital with defamatory, insulting information, affecting the reputation, brand and medical examination and treatment activities of the hospital. The above article attracted a lot of attention, follow-up and comments from the Facebook social network community, in which many opinions expressed dissatisfaction and disagreement with the information posted by Tang Ha Nam Anh.

As a result of working with the police, Tang Ha Nam Anh admitted his violation, removed the offending post and complied with the legal handling; and pledged not to re-offend.

The punishment of Tang Ha Nam Anh for his violation of the law demonstrates the fairness and strictness of the law towards all citizens in general and individuals who take advantage of their professional reputation to attract attention on cyberspace, thereby posting false information, affecting individuals, organizations, and the policies and guidelines of the Party and State in particular.
