Large cracks and serious landslides appeared at Km28+500 Provincial Road 177

Due to heavy to very heavy rains, in the early morning of August 23, a serious landslide occurred at Km28+500 Provincial Road 177 (Bac Quang - Xin Man) in Nam Dich commune. The large volume of soil and rock estimated at about 10,000m3 caused damage to traffic infrastructure and local congestion on the road.

Immediately after the landslide, the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board directed the contractors to urgently mobilize human resources and machinery to clear the soil and rocks. However, the complicated heavy rain situation affected the repair work and large cracks formed in some locations. With a large volume of soil and rocks and difficult weather, the construction units made efforts to complete the landslide clearing and open the road to traffic before 12:00 on August 23.
