Yangwang U7 2025 officially launched, price from 86,500 USD

The new 2025 Yangwang U7 has 2 more DiSus-Z equipment, “God's Eye” A and 4 electric motors that will produce 1,287 horsepower, the car has a starting price of 86,500 USD.

BYD recently launched the Yangwang U7 in the Chinese market – the first flagship sedan under the Yangwang brand. The 2025 Yangwang U7 is priced from 628,000 – 708,000 yuan ($86,500 – $98,000), available in 4- and 5-seat configurations as well as EV and PHEV variants.

The new car features the company's DiSus-Z suspension, e4 (Yisifang) platform, advanced "God's Eye" driver assistance system, and four electric motors. Overall, the car's appearance is inspired by the concept of "energy crystals," according to BYD. Four exterior paint colors are available.

The Yangwang U7 2025 EV version has dimensions including length, width and height of 5265/1998/1517 mm respectively with a wheelbase of 3160 mm while the PHEV version has dimensions of 5360/2000/1515 mm with a wheelbase of 3200 mm. The drag coefficient is only 0.195Cd.

Equipped with “God's Eye”, an advanced driving assistance system, the Yangwang U7 has three ultra-long-range lidar, five millimeter-wave radars, 13 high-definition cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars to achieve L2+ capabilities without relying on high-precision maps.

In terms of power, the EV variant is equipped with four electric motors of the e 4 platform, with a total system output of 960 kW (1,287 hp), a total torque of 1,680 Nm, an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km / h; combined with a 135.5 kWh BYD Blade battery, providing a CLTC range of 720 km.

With a dual-gun DC fast charger (500 kW maximum output), it takes 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. The PHEV variant is powered by an additional 2.0T engine on top of four electric motors and is paired with a 52.4 kWh BYD Blade battery.

The fuel tank capacity is 60 L, the pure electric range is 200 km, and the comprehensive range is 1,000 km. With single-gun DC fast charging (maximum power 230 kW), it takes 10 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. In addition, the e 4 platform supports 20° bidirectional intelligent rear-wheel steering, parallel lateral movement, and tank rotation.

The minimum turning radius is 4.85 meters. At the same time, the DiSus-Z suspension system replaces the traditional hydraulic shock absorber with a magnetic suspension motor. Combined with e4, the Yangwang U7 also supports functions such as high-speed tire burst stabilization, emergency obstacle avoidance, and suspension parameter adjustment based on road condition identification.

The interior adopts the same “Star Ring Cockpit” design concept as the Yangwang U8, covered in Nappa leather, carbon fiber, and real wood door panels.

A 12.8-inch curved OLED display is installed in the center, powered by the new generation DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system with a 4-nanometer DiLink cockpit chip and integrated with the DeepSeek R1 model to realize AI voice assistant support. The sound system comes from 23 Dynaudio speakers.

There's also a 6-inch entertainment screen for the co-pilot, a 23.6-inch instrument panel, AR-HUD, two 12.8-inch rear multimedia screens, a digital rearview mirror, a driver monitoring camera, and a cockpit monitoring camera.

Furthermore, the front seats are 20-way adjustable with ventilation and heating functions, and a hot stone massage function. The 4-seater version also offers independent rear seats with electric footrests.
