Zverev played with great effort in set 1, fighting for every point with his opponent. However, when Taylor Fritz was leading 4-3, the German player lost the break in game 8. Fritz did not miss the opportunity to take the next game and won set 1 6-3.

In the second set, the two players fought for every point and the set had to go into a tie-break. Zverev's poor form caused him to continuously miss shots and Taylor Fritz won 7-0 in this series, and also won 7-6 in the second set.

Taylor Fritz defeated world number three Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6 to win the Stuttgart Open 2025 in convincing fashion. This is the 9th ATP title of the American player's career.

Alexander Zverev has yet to regain his form to seek a title this season. At Roland Garros 2025, the German star stopped in the quarterfinals against Novak Djokovic.
