Even though it's the 21st century and humanity has flown into space, there are still countless mysteries on Earth that scientists have not been able to satisfactorily explain.
1. 3-year-old boy points out the person who killed him in his previous life
3-year-old boy remembers the name of the person who killed him in his previous life.
A 3-year-old boy from the Golan Heights (the area between Israel and Syria) told police how he was murdered in his past life. At first, police thought it was a hoax, but they became puzzled when the boy named a man who had gone missing 4 years ago and identified him.
Police later found the missing man's body buried, following the boy's lead. They also found a bloody axe used to kill the victim.
The boy also clearly stated the name of the person who killed him. After that, the murderer confessed to the crime he had committed.
2. Mystery in the town of Taos
The city with strange sounds constantly disturbing the people.
Residents of the town of Taos, New Mexico, are bothered by a low-frequency noise that sounds like the buzzing of bees. The strange thing is that only 2% of the population can hear this noise.
Many believe the sound is caused by unusual vibrations of the air currents in the desert. Others say it is a secret government experiment. Scientists have yet to explain the source of the noise.
3. Firefly show
The light show came together as if directed.
Every June, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in eastern Tennessee, several species of fireflies come together to create an incredible light show.
What is special is that these fireflies flash in sync with each other even though they are separate individuals. Some experts believe that this is a mating ritual. The truth is still unclear.
4. Light Blast
Can volcanic eruptions and earthquakes be predicted?
For many years, scientists have observed bursts of light in the sky just before earthquakes or volcanic eruptions. They look like flashes of lightning. In 1960, they captured video of the event and tried to explain it.
To date, the connection between these two different events has not been found. According to some explanations, it is possible that special geological activity created special electric currents, but how the mechanism works is unknown.
5. The stones move by themselves
A mysterious phenomenon has been observed in Racetrack Playa Lake, in Death Valley, California for centuries. This phenomenon is called “traveling stones”: Stones move automatically in the lake without any human intervention or any other force.
Sometimes, some stones even change direction unexpectedly. Some say that the movement is due to the wind, others say that it is due to the stones' magnetism. Scientists still have no explanation.
6. Brain injury turns people into math geniuses
The human brain is still a mystery that scientists cannot fully understand.
A 44-year-old man named Jason Padgett, who worked in a furniture store and had never studied mathematics in his life, was beaten unconscious by a group of thugs in 2002. After he regained consciousness, Jason Padgett became a genius in mathematics.
His brain injury gave him the ability to grasp mathematical and physical theories extremely quickly. In return, he suffered from obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression. He mistakenly believed he had been a woman before the attack.
7. Strange Beach
In the blink of an eye, the scenery of the beach changed.
A beach in Portlevene, Cornwall, UK, has baffled scientists after a very strange event occurred. A sudden tidal surge washed away all the sand. After it receded, the beach was left with only rocks and pebbles.
Strangely enough, within hours, another tide covered the beach and when it receded, the sand was back as if it had never been washed away. The strange thing was the amount of sand that was washed away and brought back. Scientists say it would take several years for nature to replenish this amount of sand.
8. Ghost lights
The lights floating in the air are not man-made.
A strange natural phenomenon occurred in the Hessdalen Valley in 1940. People saw round white or yellow lights rising from the valley, floating in the air and then disappearing. There was no sign that these lights were created by humans.
Many say that iron ore combined with sulfur streams creates natural batteries. Scientists believe that the evaporation of sulfur creates ionized gas bubbles. When exposed to moist air, these bubbles react and glow. However, this research has not been proven.
9. Red light over the Pacific Ocean
Special lights were observed in the Pacific sky.
This particular light was recorded by J. van Heyst while he was flying from Hong Kong to Alaska. While passing over the Kamchatka Peninsula, J. van Heyst saw a special red light streak along with prominent red dots. When the image was posted, many people believed that alien flying saucers were hiding in the clouds.
Scientists think otherwise. There was no storm during the flight, so they ruled out the possibility that the halo was caused by lightning. According to some explanations, it could be a reflection of an erupting volcano in the Pacific Ocean.
10. Migratory animals
Animal migration is a great unsolved mystery.
Every year, many animals migrate from one place to another at certain times. This is an extremely visible event, but the mystery behind it is still not fully explained. Scientists still do not understand how complex migration routes can be repeated exactly by generations of animals without any errors. Even if the next generation has never been guided by the previous generation, they can still fly along the predetermined route.
