On the afternoon of November 12, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc worked with the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department on the results of implementing the state budget tasks in the first 10 months of 2025.
Reporting at the meeting, Head of Ho Chi Minh City Tax Doan Minh Dung said that thanks to proactive forecasting, analyzing, evaluating revenue sources, taxes, and building revenue scenarios for each locality and each period, the total budget revenue in the locality in the first 10 months of the year was 510,183 billion VND, reaching 102% of the Government's assigned estimate, 98% of the HCMC People's Council's assigned estimate and increasing by nearly 20% over the same period.
With this result, for the first time in history, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department completed the task of collecting the Government budget assigned in October.
From now until the end of the year, Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department will strive to complete the 2025 budget collection task at the highest level. In particular, the tax sector will strengthen management and enforcement of tax debts, focusing on handling and recovering outstanding debts. Strengthen inspection and examination work, especially in high-risk areas such as e-commerce, real estate, tax refunds, etc.
Along with that is improving management efficiency for business households and individual businesses, gradually forming the habit of convenient and transparent electronic tax payment.

The head of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department also affirmed that he will promote digital transformation throughout the industry; promptly resolve the backlog of tax refund dossiers; and optimize the process of handling taxpayers' feedback and recommendations.
Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department proposed that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee closely direct the processing of documents and auctions of projects in the area, especially the revenue from auctions at Thu Thiem Urban Area, Eco Smart City project of Lotte Group, project in Phu Thuan ward of Phat Dat Group...
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc congratulated the results of the budget collection work of Ho Chi Minh City Tax, but also advised "not to rest on laurels" but to concentrate on completing the highest budget collection task.

The comrade noted that Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department continues to promote administrative reform, reduce time, procedures, and documents, especially service attitude towards people and businesses.
Along with that, it is necessary to carry out well the tasks of deploying electronic invoices generated from cash registers; encourage and support business households to "grow up" into enterprises.
Reporting on budget collection in Ho Chi Minh City in the first 10 months of the year, Director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Cong Vinh said that by the end of October, the city's total revenue had reached 657,154 billion VND, reaching 97.9% of the central budget estimate, reaching 94.2% of the budget estimate assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, equal to 116.3% of the same period.
Of these, corporate income tax and value added tax have grown thanks to the recovery of enterprises, tax reduction policies, stimulus policies and strict management of electronic invoices. At the same time, the recovery of the real estate market has helped increase revenue from personal income tax and registration fees.
On this occasion, 5 units were honored to receive letters of commendation from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, including Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Environment, State Treasury Region II, and Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
