The program has the participation of experienced and highly skilled doctors and nurses from Hanoi Heart Hospital with the support of medical staff, doctors and volunteers in Tuyen Quang . At the examination tables, doctors and nurses take medical history, measure pulse, blood pressure, SpO₂, conduct cardiovascular examination, ultrasound... classify normal/suspected/referred. Suspected cases are listed and given referral letters to provincial and central hospitals for detailed examination, treatment intervention, and surgery.

Accordingly, over 4,000 children under 14 years old in 3 highland communes of Tuyen Quang province have been screened for congenital heart disease for free. Of the over 4,000 children who came for screening this time, 14 cases were found to have cardiovascular disease; 7 cases required intervention and surgery; 7 cases needed monitoring.

Over 4,000 children were screened for cardiovascular diseases at the program.

With the slogan “Have a heart, save a heart”, this is one of the annual activities to carry out health care for children. Thereby, contributing to reducing difficulties for poor households in remote areas, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas.
