Journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the National Press Awards Council, said that the Final Round Council held an opening meeting, listened to the report on the results of the preliminary round, discussed and evaluated 183 works that made it to the final round.
According to journalist Le Quoc Minh, this year's entries have met the selection criteria well, comprehensively and deeply reflecting the country's political , economic, cultural, social, security, defense and foreign affairs life in 2024.
Many works are invested seriously and elaborately, discovering new issues, expressing criticism and constructiveness towards major policies of the Party and State. Many articles also propose good solutions and methods, having a positive influence on society.
“The Council also highly appreciates the professionalism, creativity and application of modern journalism technology in the works, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign readers,” emphasized Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh.
With a spirit of objectivity and high responsibility, the members of the Final Jury discussed thoroughly, impartially and voted to consider awarding the 19th National Press Award - 2024.
At the end of the working process, the Final Jury agreed on the judging results with 125 excellent works selected from 183 works in the final round, including: 13 A prizes, 27 B prizes, 49 C prizes and 36 Encouragement prizes.
The 19th National Press Awards Ceremony - 2024 will be held on the evening of June 21, 2025, in Hanoi , on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
