Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ha Thanh - Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion affirmed that nearly 125,000 blood units received from the Red Journey in 2025 and more than 1 million blood units after 13 years of organization are not only proof of the growing scale of the program, but also affirm the trust, responsibility and humanitarian spirit of the community towards the blood donation activities nationwide. Those are the core values that make up the Red Journey brand - the journey to connect Vietnamese blood for over a decade.

Reporting on the results of the Red Journey 2025, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Que - Director of the National Blood Center, National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion said that the program took place in 32 provinces/cities, organized 58 official blood donation points, received 30,800 units of blood; 363 response blood donation points, received nearly 94,196 units. The total of the main points and response days of the Red Journey 2025 was 421 blood donation points, received 124,996 units of blood, an average of nearly 300 units of blood per session.

After 13 periods of persistently collecting precious life resources, from 2013 to now, Red Journey has organized 3,525 blood donation points at main festivals and response days in 60 provinces and cities (calculated by administrative unit name before July 1, 2025), receiving a total of 1,063,595 units of blood. The 2025 program was successfully organized, achieving the set goals and making an important contribution to ensuring blood supply for emergency and treatment of patients during the summer nationwide.

Entering 2026, the Organizing Committee wishes to continue to maintain the organization of the Red Journey integrated into the campaign "Red Summer Blood Drops"; ensuring consistency in content and unique identities of the program. The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion is the focal point for coordinating communication, receiving and supplying blood, training, coaching and providing professional support to units. The Red Journey festivals will be organized in the form of "Opening at one point - Donating blood at many points" for the convenience of the people.
The Steering Committees for Blood Donation Mobilization in localities are proactive in organizing and comprehensively preparing human and material resources and mobilizing social resources to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of activities. The work of developing volunteer forces and enhancing the application of information technology in blood collection and blood donor care is also promoted, aiming towards practicality and sustainability.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded certificates of organizing the Red Journey to provinces/cities and certificates of companionship to sponsoring units.
