According to Bild , the German club is asking for a transfer fee of up to 150 million euros. Leverkusen believes this is a suitable price for Wirtz's talent and is determined to maximize the benefits from this deal.
After Liverpool and Wirtz reached a personal agreement, the Premier League representatives had to sit down with Leverkusen to agree on a transfer fee. The Bundesliga club confirmed that they would not accept any offer lower than 150 million euros.
According to Bild , Liverpool have submitted a contract worth more than 135 million euros, including a fixed transfer fee and additional bonuses. However, this figure is still not enough for Leverkusen to accept.
"At the moment, no agreement has been signed, and the player's medical examination has not yet been carried out," Bild revealed.
However, with Liverpool showing strong interest, it is likely that the two sides will soon reach an agreement. Wirtz has proven himself to be one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga. His move to Liverpool would bring Leverkusen a huge transfer fee, while also giving the midfielder the opportunity to play at the top level for his former team, coach Jurgen Klopp.
