Two US A-10 attack aircraft and a C-130J military transport aircraft landed consecutively at Gia Lam airport, Hanoi in the afternoon of December 15.

Accordingly, C-130J Super Hercules military transport aircraft and A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft landed at Gia Lam military airport.

This is an activity to prepare for participation in the US outdoor exhibition space at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 opening on December 19.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II (tentatively translated as the god of thunder or nicknamed the warthog) is considered the US military's mechanized killer when it combines powerful elements of diverse firepower with a 30mm rotating barrel aircraft cannon capable of firing armor-piercing bullets and the ability to equip powerful missiles and air bombs.

The A-10 is a twin-engine, subsonic attack aircraft designed to provide close air support for US military ground forces.

The C-130 Super Hercules medium tactical transport aircraft is a famous vehicle manufactured by the American Lockheed Martin Corporation.

The empty weight of the C-130 Super Hercules is 34,274 kg, maximum take-off weight is 70,305 kg; maximum load is 20,000 kg or 92 paratroopers.

On the afternoon of December 15, a C-130J transport plane landed at Gia Lam airport, Hanoi to carry goods to prepare for the exhibition.

According to information from the organizing committee of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, more than 140 contacts and companies from 27 countries have registered to display products.

The US has 13 participating units, including prominent names such as: Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Teledyne Flir...

Specifically, the US will display a C130 aircraft, two A10 aircraft, a Stryker armored vehicle, and an M777 cannon on an area of ​​3,000 square meters .

Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 will be held from December 19 to 22 at Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi.

After the opening ceremony and welcoming of international delegations, the exhibition will open free of charge to the public from 1:30 p.m. on December 21 to December 22.

This year, the organizers will not limit the age of people to watch like in 2022. When going, people need to bring their ID card and do not need to register in advance.
