(CTO) - On the afternoon of June 4, at FPT Polytechnic College Can Tho, the Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao Federation of Can Tho City organized the 2023 elementary level promotion exam, with 218 martial artists from Vovinam clubs in Cai Rang and Ninh Kieu districts and FPT colleges and universities participating.

Martial artists take the 4 elementary levels of Blue Belt, Blue Belt 1, Blue Belt 2 and Blue Belt 3. This is a promotion exam for martial artists who have just started practicing Vovinam for about 3 months (Blue Belt level).
To be eligible for the first Blue Belt exam, a student must have achieved the Blue Belt level and have trained for 3 months after that. For the second Blue Belt level, a student must have trained for 6 months after achieving the first Blue Belt to be eligible to take the exam. Similarly, to take the third Blue Belt exam, a student must have achieved the second Blue Belt level and have trained for 6 months.
In this elementary level exam, the students went through 4 exam contents: martial arts, martial arts, basic forms and dual training, under the supervision of martial arts master Vo Huu Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation; and the Chief Examiner was martial arts master Nguyen Huu Hanh, second Red Belt level, and the examiners were martial arts masters of the Red Belt, First Red Belt, Second Red Belt of the Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao Federation of Can Tho City.
Every year, the Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao Federation of Can Tho City organizes 3-4 elementary level exams, creating conditions for martial artists to improve their martial arts skills.
