Journalist Vu Viet Trang, General Director of Vietnam News Agency, emphasized the important role of press photos in reflecting historical moments and important events of the country.

According to Ms. Trang, Vietnam News Agency always considers press photos a pillar in the national information system, with a valuable photo archive that fully reflects events, from the war for independence to the country's renovation.

The "Golden Moment" award attracted the participation of 431 authors with 3,435 works, including both single photos and photo series.

The jury selected the best works based on criteria such as theme, method of expression, photographic technique and the ability to convey the message of the work.

The winning photos not only captured impressive moments but also reflected the country's dramatic transformation in 2024, from natural disasters like Typhoon Yagi to noble acts of the military and people in difficult circumstances.

The award has increasingly attracted the attention of journalists, photographers and the public. This is a testament to the strong development of Vietnamese photojournalism, with works that not only have artistic value but also contain profound humanistic messages.

This year's award is also special in that the authors are not afraid of difficulties, even facing natural disasters and harsh weather, to record precious moments.
