23 players to participate in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship Qualifiers

(PLVN) - The Vietnam women's team has finalized the list of 23 players participating in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship Qualifiers.

On June 26, Coach Mai Duc Chung officially announced the list of 23 players participating in the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship Qualifiers - Group E, taking place in Viet Tri, Phu Tho from June 29 to July 5, 2025.

Three athletes not on the list this time include: Nguyen Thi Kim Yen and Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi (Thong Nhat Sports Center), along with Ho Thi Thanh Thao (Vietnam Coal and Minerals).

During the training session on the same day, the team continued to practice professional content such as: fixed situations, organizing serves to put pressure on opponents, and coordinating team tactics. Before entering the training session, head coach Mai Duc Chung reminded and encouraged the whole team to maintain their health, focus on eating, resting and living properly to have the best physical condition for the tournament.

With a youthful force combined with experience and high determination, the Vietnamese women's team is aiming to win the top spot in the table to win a ticket to the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship Finals.

In the qualifying round of Group E of the 2026 Asian Cup for women, the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group with the women's teams of Guam, UAE and Maldives. If they win the top spot in the group, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team will get a direct ticket to Australia to attend the Final Round next year.
