The year 2025 marks a pivotal moment when this locality simultaneously receives breakthrough factors from transport infrastructure to financial policies, opening the door to increasingly breakthrough commercial activities.

Transport upgrades boost regional trade

In recent years, transportation has played a key role in the commercial development strategy of Do Luong district. In the context that the western districts of Nghe An still lack many important connections, the simultaneous appearance of major routes in Do Luong district is considered a "strategic boost", turning this locality into a link in the regional network of exchanges and trade.

A typical example is the N5 crossroad (National Highway 7C) over 63 km long, the main axis connecting the western districts of Nghe An such as Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Ky Son... with the Southeast Economic Zone to Cua Lo international port cluster. This route has an important intersection in Hoa Son commune, Do Luong district. Here, drivers can go from National Highway 1 and Provincial Road 537C to Ho Chi Minh Road, to Nam Can International Border Gate (Ky Son), expanding access to the international market.

Along with that, the National Highway 7A section Dien Chau - Yen Thanh - Do Luong with a length of 27.5 km and an investment of more than 1,300 billion VND is being accelerated for upgrading. This is considered an urgent project, connecting with the North - South Expressway, improving the exploitation capacity on the transport corridor from Nam Can International Border Gate to the coastal localities of the Central region, creating a great driving force in socio-economic development.

The highlight of the traffic picture is Do Cung bridge, the new connecting axis between Do Luong and Thanh Chuong - one of the most populous districts with high purchasing power in Nghe An. The bridge was built in a position suitable for the traffic development orientation in the region, an important traffic route connecting National Highway 46B, 46C, National Highway 7 and Ho Chi Minh Road. Thanks to its convenience, the number of people and traders moving to the center of Do Luong has increased significantly, creating a vibrant commercial flow through the two districts.

According to information from the management board, phase 2 of the project promises to upgrade Do Luong market from a "commercial area" to an integrated commercial and entertainment center, with rows of modern shophouses, a bustling culinary area and a nighttime entertainment space, bringing Do Luong step by step into the "nighttime economy" model - a trend of developed cities, where shopping services do not stop when the sun goes down.

Sustainable resources thanks to special financial policies

Not only infrastructure, policy is also one of the outstanding advantages of Do Luong in recent years. Accordingly, Do Luong district is allowed to retain 100% of land use fees for more than 25 hectares of planned residential land in the town and Yen Son, Van Son, and Lac Son communes. This is an important financial resource to help the locality proactively invest in infrastructure, urban embellishment, and at the same time, continue to develop modern commercial and service areas without having to depend on the higher-level budget.
