30 years of cooperation and development between Danang Port and Kawasaki Port

On October 28, 2024, in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The leaders of the City and Kawasaki Port had a solemn reception for the Danang Port Delegation led by Mr. Tran Le Tuan, General Director, on a visit to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of friendly cooperation between Danang Port and Kawasaki Port (1994-2024). Attending the reception of the Danang Port Delegation were Mr. Shigeki Fujikura - Deputy Mayor of Kawasaki City, Mr. Kenichi Mori - Director of Kawasaki City Port Bureau and leaders of units under Kawasaki City Port Bureau. The reception took place in an open, sincere and warm atmosphere of friendship between Danang Port and Kawasaki Port, Japan.

Since establishing a cooperative relationship in 1994, Danang Port and Kawasaki Port have developed together, sharing experience and technology in the field of seaports. This relationship is not only a cooperation between two infrastructures, but also a cultural and economic connection between Vietnam and Japan. The sustainable development of Danang Port in recent years has had significant contributions from cooperative activities with Kawasaki Port.

During the visit, the delegation of Da Nang Port had a working session with the leaders of Kawasaki Port to discuss future projects, exchange experiences in port management and introduce the outstanding achievements of Da Nang Port in recent years. Mr. Tran Le Tuan presented plans to expand and upgrade infrastructure along with the application of modern technology to optimize port operations.

Through this visit and working session, the two sides affirmed their commitment to continue maintaining and developing the cooperative relationship. Mr. Tran Le Tuan emphasized the importance of cooperation in the context of globalization and the strong development of the logistics industry today. Da Nang Port hopes to further expand cooperation opportunities not only with Kawasaki Port but also with other international ports to promote trade and investment. The 30th anniversary of the establishment of the cooperative relationship between Da Nang Port and Kawasaki Port is not only an opportunity to look back on the past, but also an opportunity to look forward to a more sustainable and effective future. The success of the visit is the foundation for extensive cooperation activities, contributing to the development of both ports in the coming decade.
