On June 15, at the Son Tra District Culture, Information and Sports Center, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held the opening ceremony of the city's vocationaltraining facilities sports festival in 2023.
The sports festival was attended by 325 athletes who are students, staff and teachers of 16 vocational training institutions in the city, including: Vocational College, Central College of Transport 5, Polytechnic College, College of Economics - Planning, College of Commerce, College of Culture and Arts, College of Tourism, College of Food - Foodstuff, Phuong Dong College, Pegasus International College, Dai Viet College, College of Medical Technology - Pharmacy, Lac Viet College, Y Viet Vocational College and Secondary Vocational College of Transport and Public Works. The athletes competed in 5 subjects, including: football, table tennis, badminton, chess and chess.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the athletes with high achievements in each competition and awarded the whole delegation. The Sports Festival of Vocational Training Institutions of the City is an activity organized annually by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, aiming to promote the development of physical education and sports activities in vocational training institutions; encourage exemplary students to voluntarily participate in sports to improve their physical strength, meeting the human resource needs of agencies and enterprises. Through the Sports Festival, the Organizing Committee selected outstanding athletes to participate in the National Sports Festival in 2024.
