Due to the impact of storm No. 2 and storm No. 3 ( Yagi ) in 2024, in Duc Hop commune (Kim Dong), there was a serious landslide on Phu My embankment, located in Duc Ninh village and landslides hundreds of meters downstream of the embankment, encroaching deep into the riverbank, causing the loss of many cultivated areas of local people.

Faced with that situation, on November 22, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2594/QD-UBND approving the Project to urgently handle the landslide incident downstream of Phu My embankment, Duc Hop commune, Kim Dong district.

The project has important items such as: Handling landslides downstream of the embankment with a length of 700m in the incident handling area; making a 259m long concrete road to the embankment; reinforcing an 80m long branch canal... The project has a total investment of 39.5 billion VND.

Construction unit deploys equipment and machinery to serve the construction of landslide treatment project downstream of Phu My embankment

After 5 months of construction, the project has been basically completed; the construction unit and related units are speeding up the implementation of items according to the project requirements to ensure safety for people and protect cultivated land before the rainy and flood season.

The project is being completed on schedule.

Technical staff check the depth of the foundation to prepare for the next construction items.
