In the first 6 months of 2024, Cao Bang welcomed over 1.1 million tourists

At the June 2024 press conference of Cao Bang province held on the afternoon of June 28, comrade Be Thanh Tinh, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee, said that the province's tourism situation in the first 6 months of the year is showing positive signs. Specifically, in the past 6 months, tourism services in the province continued to grow well. According to statistics, Cao Bang has welcomed over 1.1 million tourists, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, international tourists are estimated at 22,200 arrivals, up 57% over the same period; domestic tourists are estimated at more than 1 million arrivals, up 10% over the same period. Total tourism revenue reached 791 billion VND, room occupancy rate is estimated at 52%. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services increased by 44.6% over the same period last year.

To attract tourists, in 2024, the province will continue to promote comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development with the motto "Close connection - Harmonious coordination - Extensive cooperation - Comprehensive coverage - Sustainable efficiency"; create conditions to attract strategic investors, build multi-functional synchronous infrastructure in 3 special national relic sites, national landscapes, and the UNESCO Global Geopark of Non Nuoc Cao Bang associated with promoting national cultural identity; create many new, unique and attractive tourism products to attract tourists, promoting Cao Bang tourism to become a key economic sector.
