
Accordingly, in order to continue to create an annual, healthy, and useful playground, strengthen solidarity and cohesion; enhance understanding and share experiences in the culinary field of tourism businesses, restaurants, hotels, and community tourism destinations in the province. At the same time, continue to search for delicious, traditional dishes imbued with the culture and characteristics of Cao Bang to promote and introduce to tourists and people inside and outside the province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes the "Delicious Dishes of the Mountainous Region" Tourism Culinary Creativity Contest of Cao Bang province in 2025.
The event will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Flower Garden No. 2, Kim Dong Walking Street, Thuc Phan Ward, Cao Bang Province. The jury members of the competition are culinary experts in the province and the Vietnam Association of Vocational Training and Employment of Chefs (VICA).
This year's competition content is different from previous years, that is, each commune and ward establishes a team of 4 members, including 1 officer from the Department of Culture and Society (VH-XH) as the team leader; 1 main chef, 2 assistant chefs at hotels/restaurants/shops/community tourism spots/homestays in the area.
The number of participants includes 15 communes and wards with key tourism development: Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang, Bao Lac, Nguyen Binh, Thanh Long, Truong Ha, Hoa An, Dong Khe, Phuc Hoa, Quang Uyen, Trung Khanh, Dam Thuy, Dinh Phong, Ha Lang. For the remaining communes, the Department of Culture and Society is requested to advise the People's Committee of the commune to select those who can register to participate.
Each unit chooses 2 special dishes (main dishes in the meal), usually prepared to serve international and domestic guests to compete. The dishes belong to different food systems such as livestock, poultry, seafood, combined with vegetables, tubers, fruits, ... Encourage the use of raw materials of local origin.
In particular, it is strictly forbidden to use dishes made from animals and plants that the State prohibits or recommends for the contest. Units must send the list of contestants and dishes to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province before November 18, 2025 (according to the form).
