BTO - On the morning of June 30, the Binh Thuan Provincial Association of Oriental Medicine held a preliminary review of the first 6 months of the year and orientations for the last 6 months of 2023.
Accordingly, the traditional medicine facilities examined and treated more than 244,000 people with a total amount of about 12 billion VND, of which more than 97,000 people were treated by non-drug methods; no complications occurred in the treatment of diseases. In addition, the traditional medicine facilities of the association at all levels demonstrated the spirit of mutual support, providing free examination and treatment to policy beneficiaries and single people in remote areas with more than 63,000 people. Thereby, the Provincial Traditional Medicine Association contributed with the provincial health sector to protect the health of local people.
In the field of medicinal plant cultivation, all levels of the association and its members coordinate with health stations, schools, and people to plant model medicinal herb gardens for dissemination and instruction on their use. The province has 252 model medicinal herb gardens, with a total area of 239,000 m2. In addition, members participate in seminars on traditional medicine combined with modern medicine, selecting traditional remedies to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.
In the remaining 6 months of 2023, the Provincial Association of Traditional Medicine will continue to improve and develop the association system at all levels, striving to achieve a rate of 90% of communes, wards and towns having associations, and developing highly qualified members. At the same time, complete 100% of the targets and tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to the association in 2023.
