At the meeting, delegates were informed about the meaning of Vietnam Cooperative Day (April 11) . 79 years ago, on April 11, 1946, Uncle Ho wrote a letter to Vietnamese landlords and farmers calling for participation in the establishment of agricultural cooperatives.

After 19 years, also on April 11, Uncle Ho sent a letter to the Congress of Cooperatives and the advanced agricultural production teams in the mountainous and midland regions, praising the typical advanced cooperatives, and asking all levels and sectors to pay attention to directing the development of agricultural cooperatives.

2025 is the second year that the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance organizes the Action Month for Cooperatives with a series of activities taking place throughout the year, culminating in April 2025. This year's Action Month is organized with the theme "Cooperatives - Building a Better World ".
