Training on community tourism skills for Kep 1 villagers

(GLO)- From July 18 to 20, in Kep 1 village (Ia Ly commune, Gia Lai province), a training course on tourism expertise and skills was held to improve the skills of serving tourists for local people.

This activity is part of the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority Areas organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

The class was attended by 50 ethnic minority students at tourist attractions, officials from the culture and tourism sector, and tourism businesses and households in the commune.

The training content focuses on developing skills and expertise in community tourism, food preparation, table service and beverage preparation.

After 2 days of theory, students practice preparing dishes and drinks from local and seasonal ingredients such as termite mushrooms, durian...

The training course contributes to improving tourism capacity for local people, promoting sustainable tourism development, associated with the cultural identity of the highlands.
