Ana Marina Nha Trang welcomes international cruise tourists for the first time

On December 7, the international cruise ship Costa Serena (Italian nationality) arrived in Nha Trang on a journey to take tourists to visit Vietnam. Attending the welcoming ceremony of the ship were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Khanh Hoa Tourism Association.

On this trip, the Costa Serena carried 2,700 tourists (mainly from Europe), of which 1,300 tourists registered to go ashore to visit Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. The ship anchored in Nha Trang Bay, and tourists were tendered to Ana Marina Nha Trang Marina. After arriving at Ana Marina Nha Trang Marina, tourists were organized by TICTOURS International Travel Company Limited to visit Long Son Pagoda, Po Nagar Tower, Nha Trang Cathedral, I-Resort Hot Mineral Park, Dam Market, Skylight Bar; Tram Huong Tower... The ship left in the evening of the same day to continue its journey to Phu My Port, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Costa Serena is the first ship to take passengers directly to Nha Trang, after Nha Trang Port stopped receiving international passenger ships in early October 2024 due to port degradation. Before this ship, ships to Khanh Hoa all docked at Cam Ranh International Port and then moved to visit the Nha Trang and Dien Khanh areas. According to Mr. Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the fact that the Costa Serena ship brought passengers to Ana Marina Nha Trang is very good news for Khanh Hoa tourism. Along with Cam Ranh International Port, Ana Marina Marina welcomes cruise ship passengers, helping cruise lines have more destination options when bringing passengers to visit Khanh Hoa.

Since the beginning of January 2025, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 24 international cruise ships with more than 25,808 tourists coming ashore for sightseeing. According to the registration schedule from cruise lines, in December 2025, Khanh Hoa will welcome 7 more cruises with about 5,000 visitors. This is a positive signal for the recovery and development of Khanh Hoa's cruise tourism activities, contributing to the success of Khanh Hoa's tourism industry.
