Summary of 5 years of implementing the planning of cultural institutions system in the Army

(GLO)- On the afternoon of July 17, Army Corps 34 held a Conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the planning of the cultural institution system in the Vietnam People's Army, period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030.

Over the past 5 years, Party committees and commanders at all levels in the 34th Corps have led and directed the serious implementation of documents and guidelines from the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Politics; at the same time, many specific plans and guidelines were issued that were close to the unit's reality. Thanks to that, the system of cultural institutions in the entire unit has been consolidated and clearly promoted.

The entire Corps has invested in building and upgrading dozens of cultural houses, traditional houses, Ho Chi Minh rooms and common rooms; in which, the division-level cultural house has been equipped with a synchronized LED screen, sound and lighting system. In the agencies and units of the Corps, Ho Chi Minh rooms are basically fully equipped, meeting the requirements of political and ideological education activities for soldiers.

The training and development of cadres and employees in charge of cultural work has been focused on. The Corps has organized many professional training courses, actively selected and trained core forces at the grassroots level. Activities of libraries, reading rooms, museums, film screenings, photo exhibitions, and book introductions are organized regularly, rich in content and form, contributing to building a healthy cultural environment in the unit. In the period of 2026-2030, the 34th Corps plans to invest in building 5 new cultural houses, 4 libraries, 15 Ho Chi Minh rooms, 23 common rooms and develop a project to establish the 34th Corps Museum. These are specific steps to improve the quality of cultural life and spirit of soldiers, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The conference recorded 10 opinions, proposals and discussions from representatives of agencies and units in the 34th Corps to more effectively implement the cultural institutional planning in the coming time in the unit, contributing to improving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers and building a comprehensively strong "exemplary and typical" unit.

On this occasion, the Political Commissar of the 34th Corps awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the planning of the cultural institution system in the Vietnam People's Army, period 2021-2025.
