Runner-up Quynh Anh wears costume honoring Hue heritage

(Dan Tri) - Quynh Anh - 1st runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam - is gorgeous in the collection "Rain on the capital", honoring the cultural values ​​of Hue royal art.

The Rain on the Capital collection, consisting of 6 designs worn by Miss Runner-up Quynh Anh, honors the heritage of the ancient capital of Hue with many familiar images of the Hue royal court. The costumes use gold plating and carving techniques - a unique craft that helps the costumes have many highlights.

The collection was designed by designer Lac (full name Nguyen Minh Duc). Designer Lac said the costumes were elaborately crafted, combining many manual techniques. On the costumes, images of famous landscapes of the ancient capital were delicately arranged.

"The designs all use manual techniques such as embroidery, beading, hand-painting... So time is also a huge challenge. It took me hundreds of hours to make, with the contribution of nearly 20 people including family, friends, and colleagues," designer Lac shared.

Lac said that the only difficulty he encountered when making this collection was finding suitable materials. Because the fashion market in the North is quite limited in terms of garment materials, even though he searched at the largest fabric markets in the North, he still could not find satisfactory materials. He had to search for materials and accessories in Ho Chi Minh City to send to Hanoi for processing and completion.
