The native Tien Yen chicken breed prefers semi-wild living habits, so the people here also apply the free-range farming method, in the morning they herd the chickens into the forest to graze, in the afternoon they bring the chickens back to the barns located right at the foot of the forest hills.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, Vice Chairwoman of Dien Xa Commune People's Committee, said: Tien Yen District previously developed the "2 animals, 1 tree" project, which included chickens and large timber trees, partly because they saw a connection.

Thanks to the green forests, Tien Yen chicken flocks have grown strongly in both quantity and quality, creating a unique native chicken brand, providing jobs, income and stable lives for tens of thousands of households, including more than 400 households and 7 cooperatives that raise chickens under the forest canopy on a large scale.
The golden camellia product of Dap Thanh Forestry Trading Joint Stock Company (Ky Thuong Commune) is the most recent 5-star national OCOP product of Quang Ninh . This plant originates from the forest, is planted under the forest canopy or is moved from the forest to be planted in hilly gardens. From the unique forest soil, suitable humidity and humus content in the soil created from layers of decaying forest leaves, the ratio of light penetrating through the branches and leaves of forest trees, the golden camellia tree throughout the Ba Che mountains and forests in the past has very beneficial essences for human health. This is also the reason why the golden camellia tree becomes "gold" with a selling price of millions to tens of millions of VND/kg.
Mr. Ninh Van Trang, a young man of the San Chi ethnic group, established Dap Thanh Forestry Products Trading Joint Stock Company, collaborating with many households growing yellow tea flowers, together bringing the yellow tea flower brand far and wide. Currently, Mr. Trang's enterprise processes about 6-7 tons of dried yellow tea flowers each year and sells about 10,000 seedlings, bringing in revenue of about 4 billion VND.

In Luc Hon commune, the forests of So in the season of white flowers have become a highlight in the mountainous and highland areas. So is a forestry tree, under the canopy of this tree, people have developed suitable tourism service models, including beautiful and cool homestays. Luc Hon also organizes So flower festival, attracting tens of thousands of visitors. In November and December, when So flowers are in full bloom, tens of thousands of tourists flock to Luc Hon to see So flowers, cycle in So forest, eat dishes made from So oil and stay in homestays in So forest. Thus, from So tree, a forestry tree has formed and promoted many economic activities bringing revenue and profit to the people.
Fortunately, people in neighboring communes such as Hoanh Mo and Binh Lieu continue to take advantage of the forest to develop tourism and agriculture . For example, eco-tourism models combine health care under the canopy of anise and cinnamon forests, growing green grapes and strawberries in the forest, raising cold-water fish from the forest's stream water sources...

Promoting the strengths of forests, for many years, Quang Ninh has encouraged economic development models under the forest canopy. Currently, throughout the province, there are more and more models of growing medicinal herbs, flowers, ornamental plants under the forest canopy, raising livestock and poultry, raising wild and semi-wild animals in the green forest. Most recently, Quang Ninh province is promoting the trend of developing forest ecotourism from the perspective of promoting the strengths of the landscape and climate of the forest without affecting the forest capital. Most recently, the professional unit of Quang Ninh province is proposing the direction of planting perennial, high-value fruit trees on forest land and adding these trees to the list of forestry trees for sustainable development, towards multi-value forestry, tourism and cultivation.
