Impressions of the TV program "Epic of Peace" in three regions

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), under the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense , on the evening of April 6, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee and the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to direct relevant agencies and units to organize the political and artistic exchange program "Peace Epic" at 3 locations: Hanoi Capital (Army Radio and Television Center Studio); Ho Chi Minh City (Reunification Hall - Independence Palace Historical Site) and Dak Lak Province (Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument).

Attending the program at three locations were Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Also attending were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and Party Central Committee members: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Si Thanh; Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung.

Also attending at the three locations were representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches, central and local agencies; leaders of the General Department of Politics, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, along with veterans and many people from all walks of life.

The activity aims to arouse national pride, gratitude, express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed for the country's peace and unity; encourage officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army and people nationwide to promote tradition, continue to strive to achieve many achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.

The three connecting points with the organizing locations have many meanings: Hanoi symbolizes the direction and strategic determination of the Politburo, the Party Central Committee and Uncle Ho for the resistance war against the US to save the country and the support of the great rear for the great frontline in the nation's long-term resistance war against the US.

Buon Ma Thuot symbolizes the Buon Ma Thuot Victory (March 10, 1975) - the opening victory, creating a historical turning point for the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

The Independence Palace Historical Site (Reunification Hall) is the place that marks the sacred moment of our nation in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign (April 30, 1975), and is one of the symbols of victory, peace, unity, and territorial integrity of Vietnam.

The television show “Epic of Peace” was built on a large scale, elaborate in content and art, with the desire to recreate in an emotional and realistic way the 21-year journey of hardship, sacrifice but extremely heroic of the Vietnamese people - a journey like a tragic and glorious epic in which the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975 was the most beautiful and brilliant chapter.

The content of the Program affirms the correct leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the pinnacle of development of Vietnamese military art. It is also the victory of Vietnamese mettle and intelligence - a shining symbol of the strength of great national unity, the spirit of impartial and pure international solidarity, and also the victory of the strength of Vietnamese people's war in the Ho Chi Minh era.

In addition to the performances of famous singers and artists inside and outside the military, the Program notably brought many tragic and emotional stories and memories of historical witnesses in the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising such as: Lieutenant General Doan Sinh Huong, Hero of the People's Armed Forces; battlefield journalist Tran Mai Huong, former General Director of Vietnam News Agency; Pilot of the Quyet Thang Squadron, Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Colonel Tu De... along with many veterans and historical witnesses who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

In addition, the Program combines reports with concise, highly general content, skillfully combined and interwoven with unique, new and attractive art performances in rich forms of expression such as: Chamber music, contemporary dance, live performances, 3D mapping light shows, lasers, smoke, fireworks, graphic projections... to visualize and artisticize historical information, helping historical stories and memories become easy to understand and accessible to a wide range of audiences, especially the younger generation./.
