Andy Carroll breaks up with girlfriend because of social media

Former Premier League striker Andy Carroll has ended his relationship with celebrity make-up artist Lou Teasdale after a series of heated arguments.

Carroll and Teasdale were unable to mend their relationship.

According to The Mirror , the 36-year-old announced his split from Teasdale, expressing his tiredness with her celebrity lifestyle and constant posting on social media. After splitting from ex-wife Billi Mucklow in September last year, Carroll went public with Teasdale just weeks later.

Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale's relationship hit a low after two heated arguments during a holiday on the Greek island of Mykonos in June. Carroll was questioned by police twice over the argument with his girlfriend.

Although no arrests were made and no legal action was taken, the incidents have caused a rift between the couple. A source close to the couple told The Sun : “Andy was fed up with Lou’s demands and her social media influencer lifestyle. She was always posting on social media, which Andy hated. He called it quits this week.”

Carroll later deleted all images of Teasdale from his social media accounts, marking the end of the relationship. At the age of 36, the former Liverpool star attracted attention when he joined Dagenham & Redbridge - a team playing in the 6th division of England.

He became a free agent when he left Bordeaux at the end of last season. Despite attractive offers from France, Italy and Spain, Carroll returned home to be closer to his family and look after his five children.
