Nearly 55,000 Dong Nai residents participate in the walking activity 'Moving forward with Vietnam'

(DN) - On the morning of August 16, at the Dong Nai Sports Training and Competition Center, the activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" took place. This provincial-level event attracted nearly 5,000 officials, workers, civil servants, employees, students and armed forces in the province to participate.

This is an activity organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025). The launching ceremony was connected online from Ba Dinh bridge (Hanoi) to 33 bridge points of provinces and cities across the country, including Dong Nai.

With the message "1 billion steps into the new era", the program "Moving forward with Vietnam" is expected to mobilize the collective strength of millions of people across the country to join in walking, marking 1 billion steps for the health, solidarity spirit and aspiration of a nation that is strongly transforming in the new era.

From 5am, a large number of people in the province gathered at Dong Nai Sports Training and Competition Center to prepare to participate in the event.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, nearly 5,000 people joined the walking activity, contributing to the goal of "1 billion steps into the new era". The walking route is about 3km, starting from the gate of the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center to the intersection of Nguyen Ai Quoc Street and Phan Dinh Phung Street and vice versa.

In Dong Nai , in addition to the Sports Training and Competition Center, 100% of communes and wards across the province responded to and implemented the event "Moving Forward with Vietnam" under the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, on the morning of August 16, nearly 55,000 people across the province responded to and participated in the activity.

Through the activity to encourage the sports movement, respond to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" in the province. At the same time, strengthen the bond between the People's Public Security soldiers and the people, contributing to building a beautiful image of the Public Security soldiers in the hearts of the people.
